    Secure lock, peace of mind

    I was very impressed with the quality of the lock. I was nervous about buying without seeing or feeling the materials and construction, but I'm very happy with it. I also like that there is room for cords that are still coming out of the hole. It seems MUCH stronger than some of the other Mac locks you can buy that fit small lock holes on devices. I hope I don't need this lock to do its job, but it's good morale, at least a bigger problem for would-be thieves.

    Doesn't work on my iMac 27

    Item doesn't work on my iMac 27. The hardware that came with it doesn't fit the round hole, nor does the locking mechanism close.

    The best cable lock on the market for iMac.

    The perfect lock for your fancy iMac. Simply put, there is no comparison between this lock and any other on the market. The thick security cable and connection to the iMac stand (as opposed to a small lockout connector) make this the only REAL option if you don't want your iMac to disappear. Of course, other locks won't let anyone just run away with your workstation. . This lock ensures that it cannot be stolen. Good design with wire guides makes the lock even better.     Very easy to install. Includes ports for 27" and 21" iMacs. quality built. It looks like an Apple product due to its simple and beautiful design. The lock is strong. Get it before you regret (didn't get it)

    Elegant solution for my new iMac (Retina 5K 27 " 2019)

    This unit was purchased for my iMac (Retina 5K 27" 2019). I've always had a laptop to keep in the safe when I I wasn't home so I was a little apprehensive about getting a desktop that might have been stolen during a robbery. That decision puts my mind at ease. The cable is 1/4" steel braided cable covered in rubber. It is wrapped around my table.Tools but that will definitely prevent a crash and leave them with XBOX or something I don't really care.

    As dependable as a Brinks truck

    Easy to assemble but requires a lot of pushing the lock into the hub which needs to be precisely positioned to secure the connection. I never heard a "click" but it sure is. Once I figured that out, installation was a breeze. We have several iMacs that need protection. The security cable is thicker than I thought it would be and looks more secure than any laptop security cable we've bought. Works great for us.

    Difficult to use Best in Computers & Accessories

    The lock is very pretty but not easy to lock and remove. It was difficult for me to work with and I was wondering how to get it out of the computer. After several attempts I managed to figure it out. I didn't want to buy something that is so difficult to use. It's a good product, but if opening and closing needs to be easier, I'll choose it anyway.

    Finally a Kensington lock that works on an iMac

    The previous generation, which used bits left in the Kensington slot on the back of the display, was a total waste - if they were attached to the lock itself, they would just slide out. While a little tricky to set up (three hands can be used), it's simple, effective, and locks the iMac securely in place. An added benefit of the hemispherical dome design is that 90% of the lock is impervious to hackers.

    Well, the design works. But in my opinion, Kensington could have come up with a better design. First, it requires a second pair of hands to assemble. Or do what I did and temporarily glue the round plate and ring to hold them in place while you try to attach the dome. It took some effort to get the dome and lock to engage. And when you open it and remove the lock, the plate, ring and dome fall onto your table. It looks like Kensington came up with a different mechanism (maybe even a suction…

    iMac is protected by this lock.

    I recently had to stop two burglars from breaking into my home. I want to secure my valuables. One of them is the amazing iMac and the files it contains. This lock is made for the modern iMac. They sell it for a lot more on Apple's website and in its stores. The lock fits perfectly and doesn't detract from the iMac's design aesthetic. The lock is strong and the cable is durable. Installation was easy and didn't take long. I also bought a cable tie to secure the cable to the bottom side panel. I
