Different sizes are very convenient, especially shorter ones like 1 inch. This set does not include REALLY short ones like 1/2" or 3/4". They're hard to find in your local supermarket, but extremely useful for many DIY applications. It's a good choice though, and there are 70 short 1-inch sizes that will definitely come in handy. They are essentially the same as regular #8 drywall screws, but gold (zinc coated) instead of black (phosphate coated). They have rough carvings and a cruciform head. They bite into any wood quickly and hold very securely. I use them for all kinds of woodworking projects and DIY applications. These are really useful general purpose screws to have on hand. The screws appear to be well made. They are uniform and strong enough. I didn't notice any visible flaws. The organizer is fine. very typical of these assortment sets. The case is a little flimsy, and although two rubber straps kept the case closed during shipping, the screws were completely disorganized when opened. Locks are adequate but not as secure as some. I'll probably wrap a rubber band around it. Sets like this are mostly for convenience. For the same price, you could buy twice as many drywall screws at your local hardware store. But they will all be the same size and without an organizer. For DIYers like me, this set will save you many trips to the big store by buying fewer custom sizes at higher prices. So it's still a reasonable value and worth having on hand when needed. I hope you found this information useful.
