my electrician recommended them as they are near water and as they are waterproof it was a no brainer. Once installed and powered on, they looked great! Being able to change the colors was a fun thing for Halloween as we made the lights red to complement our decorations, but when we wanted to change them back the remote worked and the actual box where you change the colors change, not. We ended up unplugging the light and plugging it back in and the light went back to white and that's what we have now. The color changing feature doesn't work at all, which is disappointing, but they're still vibrant and good looking.
