They were a little stiffer than I prefer, but I grew up wearing skates that were just leather with no support, so I'm biased. They made small things like swizzes and backing up a lot easier than my other skates, but the weight of these skates made crossovers very difficult for me. I'm just a skater. I guess I just have to relearn. I'm sure I'll be happy with them once I let them run a little more. Now that I'm getting older I appreciate the ankle support which is difficult to get used to. The runners were really good, the picks worked when I needed them and I had no slippage in these skates. Again, they're just heavier than I'm used to.
