This shower head is effective and versatile at a surprisingly affordable price. Its best feature is its width, which is just over 5 1/2 inches. It replaced my smaller shower head (3 1/2 inches wide) which wasn't wide enough to provide a comfortable spray area. Thermoforce creates a wide circular jet at full jet setting. Because of its width, it is best suited for high water pipes. There are five spray patterns, providing more than enough options for all showering needs. Some of the shower heads I've had had almost too many settings to use. The maximum flow rate is 1.8 GPM. The "full jet" setting offers just that. Wide jet with pleasant pressure for washing the whole body. The rinse setting produces slightly more pressure than a full stream from the two center jets and is particularly useful for shampooing long hair. The Rinse + Full Stream setting combines both functions and is the setting I use the most as it offers both a wide stream and a quick flush. This convenience usually eliminates the need to change settings frequently. The "fog" setting is unique. It creates a large amount of mist that quickly fills the shower space. The mist becomes cool immediately, even if the water is initially hot. In our South Texas summer, it can take a long time to produce water from a faucet that's even remotely cool -- if at all. After working on the lawn, the mist mode is particularly useful for a quick cool down. Just make sure you close your curtain or shower door before using this setting, as it's easy to spray a lot of mist outside the shower. The mist + full jet setting combines a large-area flush with a cool mist. This can be useful if you are particularly dirty and hot at the same time. The shower head rotates in any direction to adjust its position. The tab for changing settings is easy to operate with one hand and does not affect the position of the shower head when changing settings. The shower head is simply screwed onto the water pipe. I used teflon tape to wrap the pipe before installing the shower head as instructed (tape not included). I didn't notice any dripping from the shower head other than a few normal drips when the water line empties after the water is turned off. I haven't used this showerhead long enough to know how the polished chrome finish holds up in our hard water which can tarnish metals, this is a beautiful and functional showerhead at a very attractive price. Obviously this is a solid and high quality product.
