After realizing how many unreliable reviews here are, I made it my mission to review the products I buy here to to try and help. So, here it is: I definitely like these mittens. My 7 year old prefers mittens to gloves. They are definitely soft and thick. I'm originally from Minnesota and I know very well that these types of gloves don't stand up to much in very strong, cold winds. But apart from the cold sub-zero temperatures I would say that they are ideal. personally if they fit my arm i would probably wear them all winter too. As for me, I'm not that picky when it comes to quality shopping for my son. I totally agree with a cheap pair of gloves from Walmart. This is definitely NOT Walmart quality. they are much better. In short, if you want a decent pair of mittens that aren't waterproof, that's probably perfectly fine. The rope that holds them together is well attached and I would definitely buy them if they were my size. I'm just saying. hahaha
