Recently I was able to buy a 50 inch Samsung TV and so I needed a new HDMI cable and that cable had to be USB-C on the other end because I there am already an hdmi port on my thunderbolt 3 dock that is used by my samsung monitor, everything is connected to my macbook pro. My Samsung TV is mounted so that I can position it on the ceiling away from my computer system and position it above the computer system if I want to watch movies/TV at eye level instead of looking up. I've used long enough cables to reach all positions to mount the TV and 10ft is just the right length, so far this cable has performed as expected.
