I really wanted this car seat for dogs to please. I couldn't wait for the delivery. Well when it arrived I installed it in my SUV and it was beautiful. However, if you have a pup that might be a bit concerned with the body then I suggest you look elsewhere. Since my 8 lb, 8 month old Yorkshire is extremely hyperactive, the metal bars used to hold the seat in its 'square' shape. The whole body should be completely sandwiched between them. So while I was driving, all I heard was a loud screech from him. I couldn't stop immediately because I was on the freeway, but when I did I noticed his head and left rear leg were pinched. I had to take him to the vet because. he didn't raise his head, but when he walked he did. He held up his left hind leg/foot. The vet says nothing is broken, but bruises from getting stuck and trying to pull free. I didn't take any photos at the moment when all I could think about was to help him and get him out of the traffic jam as quickly as possible. It's been about a week since then and he hasn't been that active at all. I'm just glad the band around his neck wasn't putting too much pressure on the point where it could have been the cause of his life. The only reason I bought him a car seat was for safety reasons, but after that near-death situation, I'm not so sure. i give it back
