Review on Enhanced Performance Lexar Professional 1000x 64GB microSDXC UHS-II Card (LSDMI64GCBNA1000A) by Jose Cruz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

UPDATED: OVERALL PRODUCT FAILURE - REDUCED FROM 5 STARS TO 1 STAR!

JANUARY 2017 UPDATE: I have upgraded my rating from 5 to 1 star as this SDXC card has had an increasing number of crashes over the past 3-4 months. At first my phone was showing errors, but I was able to back up on my PC, reformat and restore my data to the card, which hurt my phone but worked again (for a while). This is now completely out of hand on both my computer and phone making it impossible to back up my 100+ GB of data stored on this card other than from the cloud where it is available are which is still a very slow process on these data layers and doesn't recover all the data I've lost. This product worked fine initially so I got a rave review but time has shown it is a real quality check and now with a complete error reading card data from both my phone and PC - either way direct SD card reader in my laptop or through a USB card reader I own I have lost many gigabytes of very important and/or valuable data. While some glitches on the SD card are to be expected over time, the magnitude of this glitches used for such a short time changed my first good impression of the item very quickly. Many more U3-rated cards are now available from Revain (U3 stands for the card's maximum write speed, which enables 4K/UHD recording and a high data rate of at least 95 Mbit/s) from more established manufacturers such as Samsung, who make the card. I just bought to replace these. I'd recommend doing some research on which cards have good durability ratings, otherwise you might run into the same problems I did! *I should have known when I experienced crashes the first time I used this product (reported in my first review below) that it wasn't of good quality - I sincerely apologize if my first review guided other Revain users Purchase of this product only to find yourself in the same problematic situation. My Note 4 could now hold a micro SD card up to 128GB. Cloned the old card to my PC and then plugged in the new card. Unlike the upgrade from my 32GB SDHC card, which caused a lot of problems reloading card-based apps and some missing media, this card meant it's SDXC, plug and play. Read/write speeds are incredibly fast, and even with almost 45 gigabytes of music, I still have enough room to record 4K(+) videos straight to the card. Overall, this card performs better than any other I've had. The UH3 rating ensures excellent media capture. File transfer is very fast on my computer and just as if not more responsive on the phone. There was a crash where the phone didn't work with the map even though it showed up as installed, but after some research/insight I found it was an app related issue so I uninstalled the app, started new and it ran smoothly. Highly recommend this product if you want to record a lot of high-resolution media files, as well as large music or other data libraries. Excellent purchase. If yours is shaky, back it up to your PC, format the card to exFAT either on your PC or via your device, reload, mount and enjoy your music, multimedia and stunning video recordings!
