To be honest I thought the purchase would be overkill but I decided we'd play it safe. I changed the cartridge on my turntable and switched from Ortofon Red to Nagaoka MP-110. Never done this before and I was a little apprehensive about the process. Well, it was surprisingly very easy. I think that scale is indeed the price of peace of mind. I didn't want to put too much strain on my records and risk damaging them, and this scale confirmed I wouldn't. It just so happens that the weight shown on my tonearm (made from debut project carbon) was perfectly accurate, and all this scale did was confirm it. And I was happy to pay β¬12.99 for it. I don't have to worry about anything, I can just enjoy the music. does what it says Definitely not something I would consider critical in a player setup but useful and nice to have.
