Decent quality collar but not incredibly strong

I bought these collars for my border dogs and trainers hoping for a collar I can rely on for strength and aesthetics. After only a few uses, one of the collars broke at the joint as shown in the photo. Not a good situation when they rely on protecting other people's pets. I hope it was just a collar that was poorly made, but I'm tired of the others I've bought just in case it's a company-wide issue.
