Everything works on an Android phone

I didn't use a Macbook in this test I was looking for a Type-C hub to use as an HDMI output for my Android phone (LG V30 ) to read microSD /SD cards from my Sony camera. SD readers are basic but I've never had a good experience with the HDMI part before this product. One video randomly goes black, the other has no sound over HDMI, won't charge while in use, etc. This is the first one I've tried where everything works as I expected! The box contains a quick start guide and the device itself. and the device itself. The SD/microSD reader is actually connected to the main body via a USB 3.0 connector. You can remove it to reduce the size and free up another USB 3.0 port. That's good because the thing is pretty big. While it feels solid in the hand, it's also made entirely of plastic. I've tried playing Netflix and YouTube while charging with my LG v30 phone and had no problems. The USB cable folds into the housing.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • It bothers me
