Very good protection for a 9 year old hockey player. Fits good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the boys cup is a little firmer but my daughter loves it and said it's good to ride on. there are only shorts). So we bought a pair of medium sized boys pants for my 9 year old daughter, took off the boys cup and put on this protector. My daughter likes it very much. You can see the pants have extra fabric in the security pocket but it does the trick. Actually, I couldn't find any girls pelvic protection hockey pants in the market, so these boys pants solved the problem.
