I was looking for a portable external display for my 15 inch Dell laptop. I have a good 23-inch external monitor at home - it does its job perfectly. But I needed something to extend my Windows screen when I was traveling or working remotely. My senior eyes have too much trouble managing a lot of content on one screen, so being able to expand and spread things out is better. I just didn't want anything heavy, bulky or anything that wouldn't fit in my laptop bag with my laptop. This DEPGI OLED HD portable monitor turned out to be exactly what I had in mind. The OLED screen is beautiful and has a better picture than the HD display on my Dell G3 and is much more responsive! And the speakers in the monitor, while not fantastic, produce better sound than the speakers in my laptop, so another improvement. when i'm mobile Aside from the size, weight, and thickness, which meets all my mobility needs, the screen is about the same size as my 15-inch laptop screen, but much brighter. I've included a few videos to give you a rough idea of how good an OLED monitor looks when connected to various sources via HDMI and USB-C, and how thin it is; thinner than the keyboard when folded. The product page from the manufacturer Revain shows how thin it is and how nicely the lid closes. The only criticism is that the lid, which doubles as a hinged base to hold the monitor upright and tilt it at a subtle angle, only has a slot for the lid to fold into. In other words, you don't have a choice of angle to adjust the display. Seems to be an obvious oversight as this feature is very common on most tablet cases that work the same way. All they had to do was create another notch somewhere else on the lid to allow the display to tilt forward or backward at least a little more. I hope the attached photo is clearer than this explanation. I have seen other similar Revain LED monitors with three tilt grooves. In my opinion, this is a design oversight, but not enough to detract from my assessment. You can't connect to this monitor wirelessly, but there are plenty of HDMI or USB-C interface ports. Cables are included for both, as is an external power adapter to power the monitor when the 'parent' device is not. Another "wish" is that the monitor comes with the necessary electronics so that it can be "thrown away from portable devices". However, this will no doubt have an impact on both size and cost. I was able to easily connect this LED monitor to two different laptops - Windows 10 and W11 - via the HDMI ports and to my Samsung S20 phone via the USB-C port. The attached video shows what it looked like - a huge improvement over the S20's display! All in all, this is a great ad! It met all of my needs and matched all of the product features listed on the vendor's product page. Very little, but some, room for improvement.
