I have to say I was skeptical of how good a portable around-the-neck air purifier could be considering you're constantly on the move and changing places, so I decided to use it in a more controlled environment, i.e. in my machine. My jeep has a soft top and neoprene seat covers and if you have any experience or knowledge of what dry neoprene smells like after being in a hot car all day, you know it has a distinct odor. I figured this would be a good test of a portable air purifier to see if it was effective, so I hung the air purifier on my rear-view mirror using the adjustable strap that came with it, and set the unit at a high height. I checked this regularly throughout the day and remained skeptical. The device's battery must be good as I went to bed late and it was still working after 12 hours (it's rated for 20 hours on a single charge). The next morning I went out to check it out and saw that the light on the block was indeed off. I opened the door and was pleasantly surprised that there was no smell of neoprene in the car. It smelled faintly of ozone. I removed the device and recharged it and then put it back in the vehicle for another lap and after that I was convinced. The device does what it says on the tin and while I don't see any benefit in using it as a necklace as suggested, I would certainly see the benefit in using it in a car or in a small space? If you're unsure whether or not to try any of these, stop because it works and the battery life is top-notch. Charging is easy with a USB dongle and there are 3 settings: low, medium and high. Simple but effective.
