We ordered these because they claimed they were a good alternative to paper towels. I read all the reviews and figured I should order a set, "live with it for a while, then leave a review". That was over seven months ago and we're still going strong in the first two sets out of four. These "fabrics" (they are as thick as fleece but slightly spongy) are designed to be as absorbent as possible. If I spill a small or large amount, they seem to absorb anything - at least three times their volume; and after being squeezed out, they absorb even more. When they are completely dry and we have a few large (1-2 square inch) drops of water on the counter, we can just use the corner and it will soak up the water right away. It wasn't until my second month with them that I realized that we still hadn't used up the roll of paper towels (which was half used when I started using them) that we kept in the kitchen all the time. I use one of these for washing. Dishes, and because they are malleable and somewhat "stubborn" I can crawl into every nook and cranny to wash glass and ceramic dishes and cutlery to perfection. I don't know how these things are arranged, but they haven't cracked or started falling apart in over half a year, even though all our dishes are hand washed with them. It cleans with soap and a few swipes in your hand under running water. Slowly it is only because the product is so well made that it lasts a long time! I still have two unused ones in the closet and the currently used ones still have a few months left. If you are looking for a durable and hard working product that consists of paper towels and dish sponges, look no further. The eco-friendly Skoy cleaning cloth is worth every penny.
