Review on SMONET Security 8 Channel Recording Surveillance by Doug Mancilla

I bought an 8-channel 5MP POE video surveillance system and I am satisfied with it. The camera system has 1TB of internal storage, which is very convenient. I have cameras that record 24/7 and found that the weekly overwrite on the NVR (due to lack of space) was too fast for my needs. Installed POE via NVR on the camera with Category 5e cable, and the installation is easy. Basically plug and play. If the cables are routed outdoors, I recommend using an external Category 6 cable for the direct feed-through as the cables provided are for indoor applications. What I really liked is that you can watch it from your tv on the nvr and from your computer and mobile phone via a category 5/6 internet connection from the nvr to the router. There are also live view and playback features. There is no monthly fee for the security company, which is great. There are also many settings for motion detection, sensitivity, motion detection zones, email notifications, and app notifications. Night vision is also acceptable, lighting in the field of view is very helpful. Customer service was also top notch. I had a small problem with one of the cameras. Betty helped and replaced him with no problem. Response time was quick and overall I have no complaints about the system. It's worth the money and the picture quality, playback and features are excellent. This home security system has met or even exceeded almost all of my needs and expectations.
