Review on 🎨 Vintage Solid Wood Drawing Table: 36" Adjustable Tilting Top, Distressed Black Finish by Kelly Johnson

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Defective and too low for use in an inclined position.

Everything was in the box, the instructions were clear. It took me 45 minutes but I couldn't finish assembling the table because the 2 slots that the U-bolt goes into at the bottom of the table on the right hand side are only half done. These are not round holes that I could just drill, they are rectangular and long. Basically I would need a spare countertop to get it working. Still being able to set it up with only 1 bracket I was trying to decide what to do as the table looks nice but is light (fragile/shaky). I bought it for use: drawing/sketching. It looks good when it's flat and parallel to the floor, you still need a height-adjustable chair. WHAT'S BAD: When I tilted the surface to about 45 degrees (or #2 of the 3 holes on the mount) where I'm going to use it, the bottom edge (where the pencil bar sits) sank so low that it came with 3 1/2 left With inches of room I couldn't even get my legs through when I sat down. (Mine is 5.5 to 115 pounds, my chair was 17 inches on the lowest setting.) The height of the desk needs to be adjustable for it to work for me when it's folded up. The bottom edge is only 17 inches off the ground when tilted all the way up, hole #3, nearly 90 degrees, and 20 1/2 inches off the ground at hole #2, about 45 degrees. I'm sending back the spreadsheet Of course I've added a few photos, I hope this also helps someone make the right decision and save time in the end. .

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
