Everything was in the box, the instructions were clear. It took me 45 minutes but I couldn't finish assembling the table because the 2 slots that the U-bolt goes into at the bottom of the table on the right hand side are only half done. I absolutely LOVE this drafting table. I have to admit that I don't actually use it for drawing - not even for writing. I covered a piece of plexiglass with felt to lay on top and use as a puzzle table. The felt allows me to tilt the table while holding the pieces in place. The pencil on the bottom holds the plexiglass in place. I suppose I could have just set the table myself, but I wanted it to be versatile and didn't want to ruin the finish by gluing felt to it.
