Review on 🎨 Vintage Solid Wood Drawing Table: 36" Adjustable Tilting Top, Distressed Black Finish by Ginger Allen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Highly recommended, simply beautiful, durable and popular

I am including photos to show how it looks fresh out of the box (as these are missing on this product page). I'm very glad I measured my old drafting table top before ordering because 42 inches is pretty much the size I'm used to; 36 inches would be too small. Item in original/shelf box with packaging. This is what I received (in other words, there was no other shipping box it was packaged in). Going down to my studio was fairly easy (if you have a carpeted ladder it's even easier - guide it with both hands and let gravity help you slide down the carpet - why bother; the table you hold no box :). I carefully opened the package and its contents in case I needed it for a return (everything happens!). I examined the pieces as I took them out. The only thing that alarmed me a bit: the top right corner looked like it had been bumped into a brick wall a couple of times before being put in a box (I read similar damage in another review). Luckily this is something I can easily change with sandpaper and stain; Everything else was ready to assemble. Took about two hours to assemble but I am very careful with what I am working on as I want it to last a very long time and I enjoyed assembling the table. Before starting work, I made sure all the details were included by counting them and marking them with a pencil in the instructions. All instructions are visual (not step-by-step) on three pages, but that's my learning path. After that it becomes very durable. Suggestion: I cut a custom table mat (Desktex Anti-Slip Polycarbonate Table Pad, Embossed Surface, 29" x 59", clear - I think it's a plastic chair mat, just a few layers thinner; cut with metal scissors as follows: http://amzn.com/B000R8HSOG) to protect the countertop from all the art I'm about to make. Table corner where you want. Just make sure the side screws are tight enough in the U-bolts. (Oh, the U-pieces stop making noise when you tighten the knobs, so don't worry about hearing them while you work.) So here's my experience and a few pictures to help you with the decision to help. I hope you have a great experience and enjoy your new table once you've assembled it.
