Review on Commander Controller Bluetooth 2007 2018 Unlimited by Cee Pouncy

Revainrating 3 out of 5

First impression: meh

Update: So I'll be returning this. This is not the product's fault, it works as it should, but I did find some flaws. The main problem is that you're transferring too much power from your drivetrain too quickly, and most Jeeps aren't built for that kind of power. You'll probably want to buy this to regain some power after putting on a good lift kit and big tires, but with the weight of these tires and how quickly you can develop high torque and power with them, you'll probably turn a little axle. shafts or cardan shafts. You can, and probably will, upgrade them at some point, but it's actually a Jeep, not a race car. Plus, you can control the Eco setting yourself by simply not pedaling as hard when accelerating. So if you bought this you paid $300 for something that can pull off a bit of wit. The medium settings (City and Sport) are very good because they put out a little more power faster so your Jeep will feel less sluggish and most likely tow better, but I'll get back to the fact that it's $300 and that all this unit makes your gas pedal feel more responsive, you're not actually getting more horsepower, you're just delivering it faster. Remember, you can replace your coil packs and spark plugs with more powerful ones for less than it costs and REALLY put more horsepower into your engine. Original Review: I procrastinated for a while but finally gave up. I mean $300? There are many Jeep parts I could have bought or invested $300 in, but I decided to give it a try. And let me start with the unboxing because they could easily have thrown away about $20 if they forgot the single hard plastic box it comes in. Hold it like I'm ever going to take it out of my jeep and put it back in its case to put on a trophy stand or something. Forget all that crap and ship it in damn bubble wrap, I don't care if it lowers the price. For example, what should I do with this box now? Use it like Tupperware?! It doesn't even say if it's dishwasher safe! But I digress on the subject of installation, it should be very easy, which it should be, because Jeep is more to blame for that. I guess when I'm talking about the 2012-2018 Wrangler, but at least in my 2013 it was a "bitch" to pedal. You can't even see the plug, so just feel your way around it, and when you finally find it and unplug it, there's NO play. So plugging the car into the PC was hard enough, but plugging the PC into the gas pedal was more annoying and physically demanding with all the sprains, twists, pinches and scrapes than it was for me sticking the full long arm into the height adjustment herself. But finally, we get to the show and let me tell you, she screwed up. Even in City 0 you can tell the difference, but of course you have to try the Sport++4 after fitting it and I wasn't ready because at the slightest touch of the pedal my Jeep accelerated from 0 to 60 in what seemed like 2 seconds, and even holding the Speed requires so little effort that long journeys become much more comfortable. If you're still reading this now, here are my real complaints. I don't like that the wire only comes out on the left side, it should be a plug that can be taken out on either side, but at least it seems like coming out on the right side makes sense if nothing, as most people do going to mount this and the left side of the steering wheel and route the wires next to the steering column. Also, if you don't do this, you won't have to pick as many cables elsewhere to place the controller. Also, the controller has no backlight. There are little lights under the mode names and numbers, but you only see little dots at night. You can't see what mode you're in without turning on the overhead light. For the price, there should be a dim backlight for all of that. I won't be able to know until Spring if turning my Jeep off to start every day actually helps with MPG, but I doubt it will make much of a difference unless you stay in Eco-4 all the time, which is literally the opposite. . why would anyone buy this because if you are that worried about mpg and slow acceleration then just accelerate slower (stunning I know). See you next year
