Advantages: - The bottom of the filter can be unscrewed for very easy cleaning. - The plastic is very durable and hasn't retained any coffee OR tea smells in the last two months I've been using it. Cons: If you fill it all the way, it's very easy to get tea/coffee grounds into the end product. Just don't push it too hard while you brew. There will be a lot of sediment in the last cup of a cold drink, but that's just the nature of sieving. Running through a coffee filter definitely helps. tldr: I love it and definitely worth the price.
