Review on 8TB BUFFALO DriveStation Quad - High-performance Desktop DAS with 4 Drives by Aaron Allen

I am ambivalent about this product. I bought Quad and Duo. I have an ATV on TimeMachine and my photo library on Duo. When the computer goes to sleep, the drive does not eject properly and does not mount again until I turn the drive off and on again. Duo does this, but will be redeployed when the computer wakes up. If the Photos app is running, you will have to close and reopen the app as it will lose the library location. My Western Digital hard drive has never done this. Next time I will try a different brand. Update: I changed my power settings so that I never hibernate the computer but hibernate drives whenever possible. Now no problem.
