To start this review I would like to say that this scanner gets data from all modules very quickly. It can scan SRS (Supplemental Restraint System, also known as Airbag Indicator), ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), PCM (Powertrain Control Module) and TCM (Powertrain Control Module). much better than all cheap counterparts. If you're viewing live data, it has all your regular PIDs and some, also gives you the ability to view live data graphically. This feature allows you to easily draw your oxygen sensors to ensure they are working properly. You can really use this feature in many ways. I'm glad they don't force you to use all 4 if you don't need all 4. The fact that you can view your transmission data along with airbag and brakes makes this tool worth checking out for anyone serious about working with other vehicle systems. Final Thoughts: I think this scanner is a great scanning tool to start with as a mechanic. this is the best? No, but with that it will do what you need it to do and for the price it will be hard to find another that can do everything this one can. This one can also be updated, which any good scanning tool can be, but if I'm not wrong (please check), you get free updates. No professional tool is going to give you free updates so if this one does it 10 times better than I already think. As for the cons, I haven't had enough time to play with it fully yet, but I've tried pulling the srs codes on the older 2001 max, it couldn't get into the module, so I tried to pull into the abs module , same problem, i have with my autel i didn't have this problem. but I haven't updated it yet either, so it might be user error. but everything i checked except that i was able to enter the modules and read the codes and data from them. In summary, if you don't want to spend extra money on a tablet scan tool, but still want something powerful that can do more than your basic tasks, then this is perfect for you.
