This tripod is great for projecting laser lines and plumb lines, but worse for projecting angle lines in lock mode, e.g. B. when working on banisters. The tilt lock is not 100% effective when using a light cross line laser (in my case it's a Bosch GLL100GX which I really like) so the laser tends to move around a bit after you set the angle huh makes setup difficult. I have some doubts about the durability of the tripod, especially the plastic rack and pinion. Although I use my laser for professional work, I don't use it that often and I think this tripod will suffice for my use. If my job requires daily use of a cross laser (as would be the case for someone like a cabinet installer), I would consider a more durable tripod. Incidentally, this tripod is designed for use with a light laser. IMO, using it for photographic work, especially with a DSLR, is only going to lead to frustration.
