Good but very difficult to set up

It took me a hell of a long time to line up my laser on this tripod. It wasn't very smooth when trying to set the minute value - I've tried all the adjustment screws to no avail. Too many that way. Oops, too much in another. Very frustrating. It feels sturdy and is very adjustable in height, but left and right leaves a lot to be desired.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Requires socket

ultra light in Camera & Photo

This tripod is ultra light, good and bad. It is good that it is the east to carry and transport as it is in the light. The bad thing is that it feels very cheap, all parts are plastic and feel flimsy. The settings are easy to make and you can easily recall your settings. For static use, e.g. A laser level, for example, is fine because you won't be touching it once it's set up. I really like the telescoping head which makes it easy to adjust arm height.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Something else

I bought this as a recommended addition to my own Bosch laser level. The stop bolt on the tripod is too long for its own laser level, so that the laser head is not held horizontally and securely. In terms of a versatile tripod, this is a very good product for the price and ideal for entry-level photographers (less articulation and bubble level than pro-level). As for the item suggested for use with their own gear, it's a little disappointing.

Arrived broken and unusable

The purpose of a tripod is to hold the camera and maintain elevation. This tripod did neither. The mechanism that tightens the neck of the tripod head after extending it was cracked and broken. It was originally held together with cheap thin plastic. Any added weight (even the weight of a small camera) and the height adjustment you make just fall behind. Not only that, but the tripod plate didn't work either. Although I firmly tightened the screw on the bottom of the camera, the tripod plate…

Pros
  • quality construction
Cons
  • weak

This is a very good quality tripod for most applications. Other reviewers have pointed out that this is not an actual photo tripod, but rather one made for tools. Limitations may affect the professional photographer, but for the more advanced amateur photographer, this tripod will do just about anything you need it to do. I previously ordered another tripod for $20 and sent it back because (1) it arrived broken and (2) it was wobbly. I was willing to settle for something a little less durable…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Grip - roll pin!

This is a great stand for the price. I think it gets bad reviews because people don't understand a few things: 1. It's a tool stand. It's not really for cameras. While it works well with something small like an iPhone or GoPro (you'll need a proper mount), it's not designed for freedom of movement or being held at awkward angles, instead it's designed to sit flat, snap into place, and then be fine-tuned .Height. If you are looking for a camera tripod you will find that this product has the…

Good bang for the buck.: Tripods & Monopods

This tripod is great for projecting laser lines and plumb lines, but worse for projecting angle lines in lock mode, e.g. B. when working on banisters. The tilt lock is not 100% effective when using a light cross line laser (in my case it's a Bosch GLL100GX which I really like) so the laser tends to move around a bit after you set the angle huh makes setup difficult. I have some doubts about the durability of the tripod, especially the plastic rack and pinion. Although I use my laser for…
