I recently replaced my 7 year old hiking boots with a pair of the same boots after dozens of trips around the world because they were damn good (Lowa). However, in recent years I've lost all my travel socks and instead used cheap "good" socks, thin but also synthetic. I had problems when it was very hot, even with old boots. Now with new boots, could it be socks? Originally I was looking for hiking socks with merino wool to wick moisture and I'm pretty sure I clicked somewhere on these socks that said it was merino wool. Read testimonials that other people have had the same experience. However, this is not the case, instead it is: 37% Nylon, 34% Coolmax Polyester, 26% Acrylic, 2% Lycra and Spandex, 1% Other Fibers. Made in the USA, Vermont, with an unconditional lifetime guarantee" and after watching these guys' videos I'll give it a try. They felt good, good thick support where needed but not too much. So I went at 11 a.m. in 85 degrees on California's local mountain, San Jacinto.It was hot, my feet were hot, I could feel a few hot spots on my new boots but I wanted to put them to a real test.Many hours later I pull take off my shoes ahh and take off my socks.Warm feet for sure but NO MUSIC!I ordered 3 more pairs but this time I got the Merino wool one.A bit pricey but after trying them last weekend , having traveled up and down the Grand Canyon with a large backpack in 100 degrees all I can tell you is they work damn well!Not a single bubble or anything close to it.Get a little ahead your neighbor
