Tears after 2 weeks of wearing

I've been wearing this brace for a little over 2 weeks and it's already falling apart. I didn't take it off or put it on except in the shower. The metal comes out from under the thumb and wears out steadily from the second day. If you plan on using it for more than a few weeks, spend a little more and get something better.
