Ordered one of these for myself and recieved another as a gift -- the gifted one came first and sits over my sink, serving its intended purpose.But this one came later and I decided to use it for some coffee mugs (I love coffee and I don't have upper wall cabinets in my kitche ) and it ended up becoming my caffination station.The hooks are great, in fact I took the hooks off of the one over the sink in order to 'double hook' around mug handles for extra security. The feet on the stand offer a sturdy base and center of gravity. I think I have about 18 mugs plus plastic tumblers, tea bags and drink mixes loaded onto it and it's holding up just fine.Since I had 2 of these, I also used all of the 'strainer' bases over the sink and the 'shelf' bases for the coffee area, and tbh may be why I like these shelves so much. The high bottom shelf keeps counter space from being eaten up and the extra side hangers are surprisingly versatile. One held my cook book (Better Homes and Gardens, 1975 - hard cover. Book weighs like 5 lbs) and the shelf barely shrugged. Since I don't have cabinets, I'm considering more of these :)
