Rocks and Minerals in Science and Toy Sets
This collection of rocks is a lot of fun. There is something of everything here: polished stones, fossils, volcanic rock, geodes, rough stones. Just a little advice; Don't throw away limestone rocks just because they look like something from your backyard! Place them in a plastic cup or small glass jar and cover with distilled white vinegar to coat. They sizzle like crazy for a while because limestone contains calcium carbonate, which reacts with the acid in the vinegar. Leave them alone for a few days and as the vinegar evaporates crystals will form on the limestones.
