I bought these when I started my journey into resin jewelry. As an experiment, I pulled out a few characters I didn't want to "play" with, the moon and the heart. Edges taped, resin poured and serviced. To my disappointment, the moons leaked out. Upon closer inspection, I found that this was caused by the fact that the lug faced front to back and was wider than the bezel frame. Don't worry, I tried another (oval) the next day and made sure I taped the frame REALLY well myself, thinking it was my own fault for leaking the first day. Everything was fine for my project and then I noticed a leak after about 30 minutes. My best guess is that the resin is too heavy for the tape to form a strong bond and it will push the tape out no matter what. Rather than trying to think of another way to use them, I'm going to toss them for now and only use the ones where the eyelet lines up with the frame. Note: I only used clear packing tape and only one type. There may be stronger bands, but right now it's easier for me to keep going than trying to find an alternative to what I already have on hand.
