Update: I emailed Cooper-Atkins the day I noticed the thermometer was overheating. Literally the next day they replied and said they would send a replacement. Excellent customer service. So I give this product four stars. It's easy to use, and if the new thermometer is accurate (see the original review below), then it's a good thermometer. Btw, I bought it for $16 and now I see the price has more than doubled. You may want to create a price tracker (e.g. on CamelCamelCamel.com) to wait for the best price. Possibility to increase the temperature. The temperature of the pork tenderloin was 170F but the meat was still raw. Another thermometer measured it at 125F. I have had this thermometer for two years now. No longer safe. Contact the seller for a replacement or refund.
