I'm always skeptical of new brands. I'm usually a fan of Western Digital. But over the years, Western Digital started to disappoint me. I've never heard of the Transcend brand. I read all the specs of this particular hard drive and really liked what it had to offer. I went ahead and bought a hard drive and it was definitely quality when it arrived. I open the box and the hard drive is extremely durable. I noticed a button to block specific files. I also noticed the USB 3.0 cable. I immediately started transferring files from my computer's drive. The transfer speed was pretty fast. Threw a bunch of gigs files. It didn't take more than eight minutes. I love the slick quality of the case and the durability of everything. Since this is military proof, I feel safer. I've dropped so many Western Digital hard drives and lost so much important data that I just couldn't risk it again. That's why I bought a transend hard drive. So far I am very happy with this purchase. The drive is inexpensive and the quality is very good. I recommend it if you are looking for a secure backup.
