I have the chance to evaluate against Charge 3. Of course, Flip 5 falls short of Charge 3 in terms of loudness and bass level, especially at maximum volume, as here the power is lower and the size is smaller. The Charge 3's bass is tighter. Yet, I believe that the Flip 5's frequency response is more even, and the sound is softer and more authentic. For listening in the space, turn up the volume. In comparison to the identical charge 3, the flip 5 has a more noticeable low-frequency backdrop at medium and low volumes that is reminiscent of music venues from the late 1990s and early 2022.
