The sturdy and thick case is perfect for my 5 year old to use with his new Christmas tablet. I put the tablet straight into the case, straight out of the box to keep it pristine. It was easy to fill and snap around the periphery. The orange color makes this case easy to find anywhere in our house as opposed to the all black we had on our old tablet. I was surprised that there is a screen protector and a version without a protective front in the box. I tried the screen protector version but didn't like it because it was slightly ridged in the corner and I prefer the protection that you can't see in the form of tempered glass. I used a protector from another manufacturer. The strap will be fine for our first ride this week, although I'm not sure my son would let go of the device for the ride. In conclusion, the power and volume buttons are "adequate" at best. They're very long so the silicone molds touch the buttons, but they're imprecise so you have to press multiple times and hard for the press to register on the tablet. If you have to yell at your kid to turn off Ryan's Toy Review because you can't stand the noises from mom or dad and your kid says the volume is broken, you understand my frustration. Luckily we don't change the volume often, so it doesn't bother us.
