For only $10 I was willing to take the risk to buy these hair accessories. They're a lot nicer than I expected and the clips are covered in a decent vintage fabric. I have fine, fine hair and it sits securely and snugly on my head. No giant piece of plastic sticking out like banana clips. They are feminine and age appropriate for any girl/woman/gender creature with long hair - some hair accessories just look infantile. I don't think they can be treated very roughly: they are thin plastic. And if your hair is very thick or curly, it may break when you try to close it. Just a theory. I am very happy with them and plan to use them a lot. Thank you!
