Update: I just tried using the 4TB hard drive I used to test this adapter/backplane and found, ALL SATA DATA CONTACTS to your hard drive HAVE BEEN LOST! Not only that, the plastic backing is completely gone, and the plastic backing of the power connectors is also damaged (i.e. the 4TB drive is now unusable!) Worst money I've ever spent (at least equal to similar extremely bad cases) . . . . :-(I need a replacement front access drive to replace operating systems (OS) on a desktop PC. I think this product is NOT suitable. A 3.5" hard drive sticks out more than 2" huh makes them unreliable and possibly crashes the system too easily, too often (because the hard drive is shaking due to weak SATA/power connections) This can be useful for replacing backup drives, but an external USB drive will probably be much better/easier /work more reliably.(Also Revain.com: PLEASE stop collecting reviews! Many of the reviews you include do NOT seem to be related to this product and you do this too often for electronics and auto parts! I am sorry to have to return products is misleading. Thank you!)
