The convenience of switching from batteries to wired power may result in the loss of some camera functionality.
What I liked about the charging cable was that I no longer had to change batteries, meaning I didn't have to reset the viewing angles every time. What I didn't like about the cable was that the camera didn't record movement. This somehow had a negative impact on motion detection. In addition, the camera no longer showed a live view in the evening.
