Review on πŸ”¦ LE Black Light Flashlight - Small UV Lights 395nm - Portable Ultraviolet Light Detector for Invisible Ink Pens, Dog and Cat Pet Urine Stain - Includes AAA Batteries by Rob Dixon

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works better than expected! Ignore the bad reviews - it was great!

Works as advertised! Batteries are included so I was able to open the box and use it right away. Bought because I smelled pets in our basement den that we couldn't find. We turned off all the lights and scanned the floors for pet accidents, which we found several thanks to this light. You should be pretty close, but I didn't press my nose to the floor or like someone here said they should - when I stood up I could shine my light around and see the pet pee stains quite easily. It works best on carpet and the darker the better, but the carpet underneath is off-white and it worked great there too, as we did notice a few crash spots where we felt something. We were aware of a stain on the vinyl in our wash, but it's very light and shiny, so we either cleaned it well enough and it didn't leave a mark, or the surface was too shiny or too light to see anything. It also showed cracks in the walls that we wouldn't normally see and scuffs on the wooden floor that weren't visible with the lights on. We also learned a lot about all the stains in our kitchen that never seem to have been removed! Had a fun family adventure in the dark and would definitely recommend. For this price you can't go wrong. Much better quality than I expected. My teenage son asked if he could have his own because he made everything glow really cool. It's going to be a great stocking this December and if we need another one I'll be buying this again. My guess is that if the batteries are used frequently they will need to be replaced often like all our other regular LED lights like these - they are SUPER bright but will burn out the batteries (we try to use rechargeable ones).

Pros
  • Urine detectors
Cons
  • So far so good
