Review on ๐Ÿš— Mestart OBDII OBD2 Bluetooth Car Diagnostic Scan Tool - Auto OBD Scanner for Android Devices by Noe Epps

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Didn't work with Torque App, worked with Android Car Doctor App. Broken electrical connection.

Positive: When used with the Car Doctor App (free inCarDoc), the adapter connects and works perfectly. Document dedicating the entire page to using Torque, it was never paired with it on my Android Note 4. I have used two other OBD2 bluetooth adapters with the same phone and car with no problems. Initially, the adapter did not work at all and had no LEDs. . It took several transplants before it finally worked. When I switched between my working adapter and this one, the other worked every time, confirming that my car's OBD2 port was most likely not to blame. Background: I have a 2003 Dodge Neon. First, this adapter didn't even get the LEDs to light up, even though my second (notoriously good) adapter was fully functional on the same machine. After disconnecting and reconnecting about 10 times, it finally caught fire. This allowed me to pair it in my Bluetooth settings (including entering the passcode 1234) but not in the Android Torque app. The red Power LED lights up, but none of the others light up. This is with the car running. Tried it on a newer machine, same result. It was only after using Car Doctor that I was able to get the adapter to work. I would recommend looking at another brand if you want torque assist and a more reliable product.
