Got this for my daughter who loves to sing Disney songs and it can be an unexpected Christmas gift highlight. Easy to connect to my phone where we use my own playlists and YouTube videos. Or you can just turn it on without connecting and just sing along. To be honest I love to sing and I enjoyed using it too. My kids love the echo feature. My only minor complaint seems to be that it doesn't pick up your voice that well from the side corners, so just make sure you sing right over the top as my youngest doesn't always realize she's not and gets annoyed becomes.
