This is the first time we have used a non-HP toner in this printer. The first few pages printed were smeared or had ink streaks. However, we wanted to give it a chance, so we reprinted it, and after about 10 pages things started to clear up. Unexpectedly I had to print out the full manual the next day so I gave a good test of the toner. It's been almost 100 pages and I haven't noticed any smudges. The black print is bold and doesn't look faded or stained. I plan to try a range of colors when our current ones run out. Please note that the toner cartridge itself is taller than HP cartridges so when we first put it in we were concerned we were receiving the wrong model. But the box closes normally and without problems. It will just look different than HP, so don't let that confuse you as you proceed with the installation.
