I bought this media because I got one of the new Motorola XTS radios. With my old brick radio I only had one of these Velcro holders without a base support. It always worked fine with the old radio, but it sucked with the new XTS radio. This carriage 763 has a support bracket at the bottom. The radio is very safe. The only problem I have is that these XTS radios turn on too easily. This medium is pretty good at keeping the radio from malfunctioning, but I've accidentally hit the radio a couple of times while moving around in the car. It appears to be an issue with the radio rather than the carrier. After having this problem I tightened the strap around the radio and the random key was gone. If you buy this strap, keep the strap snug around the radio and you'll be fine. The carrier doesn't rotate, but I prefer that. It is not bulky and sits comfortably on the belt. I recommend this carrier for XTS radio.
