Review on πŸ’§ Stay Hydrated on the Move with Hydro Flask Down Shift Hydration Pack - Insulated Reservoir & Adjustable Cheststrap by Brian Healy

Great upgrade to regular drink chambers

I was very intrigued when I saw how Hydroflask made drink chambers. One of my biggest issues with bubbles is that the bubble gets hot and then all the water tastes like plastic. This hydration reservoir has an integrated neoprene sleeve and bladder to insulate it. While this works well, it causes a problem. You can't just see through the material to make sure it's clean and the crevices don't get rough. From my experience with hydration chambers, no matter how hard you clean and dry them, they often find ways to retain water and end up growing something inside them, so not being able to see through them worries me a bit. comfortable and has two straps that help compress the contents of the backpack and minimize the amount of splashes. Spring-loaded straps wrap lengthwise around the pack. So if you want to access something in the insulated main pocket or the secondary pocket, you have to unbuckle the strap and then unbuckle it. That's definitely something I can't do when I'm moving with a backpack on my back. The waist pack further aids in insulation by incorporating a foil liner into the bladder's main compartment. I have concerns about the durability of this type of material as I have never had a lunch box or insulated bag with a foil liner that doesn't end up tearing, peeling or just peeling off the backing. Overall I think this is a well made hip hydration pack with some really innovative ideas. As for me, I have some concerns about the cleaning of the bladder and the durability of the foil liner, otherwise it would have given 5 stars.
