I have gotten a number of sets of plastic animals from a wide variety of brands, and the quality level varies greatly. I was totally impressed by this set, which has a unique selection of nicely detailed animals with accurate paint jobs, attractive finishes, and a very interesting selection of creatures that I haven't seen available elsewhere.Compared to some generic brands I've tested and some midrange brands I've tested (Battat), these are somewhere between the midrange brands and a higher end brand like Schleich in terms of quality. Given that the selection of unusual animals increases the enjoyment factor, I really rate this set quite highly. We are homeschooling family and we like to give out small prizes for the kids when they do a good job on their work, and these have been thrilling prizes that everyone has been very pleased about.
