Amazing recessed lights

My first Revain review - that's how happy I am with these lights. This is my first time installing recessed lighting in my new home and I had to research a number of products - different types, functions, installation etc. A few things I think are important to know: 1. Firstly, these Lights are SUPER bright! They have 1200 lumens while most competitors have 800-850 lumens, making them 40-45% brighter!2. Although advertised as 5/6, they actually have a 7-1/2 trim ring, but the lantern itself is just under 4 inches tall. But that's not a bad thing - see points 1 and 33. I was looking for 6 inch headlights, but I wanted a deflector. One and the other looks great. Despite the 4 inch light and the baffle, the light is not directed downward, the angle is very wide.4. Since they are very bright, they again require less than 850 lumens. So far I've made two rooms - 17x12 feet (6 lamps) and 10x14 feet (5 lamps). I have 3 to 6 feet between them. They are both very bright, almost blinding. I will dim if I want it darker - which is anyway the recommendation for all recessed lighting (too bright and dimmer).5. The only downside is that they aren't flimsy, unlike many competitors where the junction box and pad are separate, it is one unit with the box attached to the bottom of the pad (as in the photo to see). . That means there's nowhere to install them, you have to make sure there aren't any joists, vents, pipes, etc. above them 6. While they're not flimsy, they're very easy to work with. Excellent quality. Include 3 wire nuts for each attachment.7. I ordered a Torchstar with them, they were excellent quality (better than these), with amazing packaging (almost like Apple) but they seemed half as bright as these to me - again 850lm vs 1200lm despite the Torchastar being 6 inches . In the end I gave Torchstart back and left Freelicht. They are also TWICE cheaper ($200 in my case versus $450 for 50 bulbs). I hope when I'm done installing it I'll be as happy as I am now. And I hope they hold up as advertised. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for good downlights.
