Review on Hosa CSS 202 Stereo Interconnect Meters by Brandon Micali

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Inexpensive balanced cables

I have had several Hosa branded cables over the years which have generally been good value for money and worked well. I use these cables as balanced signal cables between a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 audio interface and a pair of Presonus Eris 3.5s. Nice little low budget setup. Since the audio interface has a balanced output and the speakers have a balanced input, I figured that balanced cables could also be used to avoid interference. And it works great, no noise can be heard. However, I've only used similar setups with unbalanced RCA cables and interference wasn't a problem there either. These cables have nice thick wires, but the molded plastic connectors look a little cheap. However, cables with prettier metal connectors can cost a lot more, and I don't care about looks to spend extra money. Very happy with these cables, recommended for anyone who can live with cables that don't look expensive.
