These things are good when there are a lot of different people in the car. While I don't use Uber, I travel a lot, and a lot of that has to do with picking up cars with strangers to keep costs down. I love having this cable because it can charge almost anything except Blackberry phones and it means fewer cables to come out of the front panel. I've been using them for a few months and they hold up to pretty much anything. . They've been overstretched, pulled out the wrong way, doors slammed shut, and so on. They extend 3 feet and support most of your vehicle. In general, they work well and withstand any load. It's a little clunky if you're the only person using it, but if your car gets a lot of use, it's worth buying.
