I have a reliable, updated 2009 dual-core Mac Pro. It was flashed with iOS 5.1 and I installed OpenCore to take full advantage of it and upgraded to Catalina (Big Sur not used yet). I had a previous Sonnet 3.0 card and replaced it with this one. I'm not using the full potential of the Samsung T7 drive, but it almost doubled my transfer speed (both read and write). I get about 680 on writing and 660 on reading. not the full potential of the drive, but that's due to the outdated architecture of the computer, not a card bug. I'm very happy with it and it worked right away without drivers.
