Я получил эту карту вчера (14.07.17) взамен карты Sonnet Allegro USB 3.0 PCIe, которую я установил в свой Середина 2012 года Mac Pro einige Zeit. As with the non-professional version of this card, it was fairly easy to install and just works. I didn't have to install any software or drivers for it. I am using macOS Sierra 10.12.5. Each USB 3.0 slot shows up as a separate connection in System Profiler, rather than a single connection with four slots below it as was the case in the non-Pro…

I bought this to have more USB 3.0 ports for my Oculus Rift and this PCIe card did not disappoint! Just install and download the driver, no problem. Each port has its own separate controller, so it doesn't use bandwidth across multiple ports. And that's the problem for a lot of people setting up their Oculus Rift, they might have enough 3.0 and 2.0 ports, but the ports use the same controller and there just isn't enough bandwidth. This product solves this problem quite simply. I'm using 3…

Encrypted directories on 3 drives and killed one.

At first I was very happy to get a "professional" USB 3 PCI card from a well known brand like Sonnet. But eventually I started having mysterious system crashes. Then the encryption of the directory structures of the connected drives began. Some have been restored. Some weren't. Since some of the attached drives were over a few years old, I figured they might be outdated. But these were ultra-premium G-Drive HD drives that typically last much longer than cheaper HD drives. Then the critical disk

So far so good in my 2009 Mac Pro with Catalina

I have a reliable, updated 2009 dual-core Mac Pro. It was flashed with iOS 5.1 and I installed OpenCore to take full advantage of it and upgraded to Catalina (Big Sur not used yet). I had a previous Sonnet 3.0 card and replaced it with this one. I'm not using the full potential of the Samsung T7 drive, but it almost doubled my transfer speed (both read and write). I get about 680 on writing and 660 on reading. not the full potential of the drive, but that's due to the outdated architecture of…

Not compatible with HP Z4 G4 Workstation

I installed this on my HP Z4 G4 Workstation with the latest Windows 10 Pro. Device manager recognized it correctly, but the card didn't respond with the standard Windows driver. Sonnet advised me to use updated ASMedia drivers. This caused my computer to crash almost immediately after installation. I've never had this problem with a USB adapter card and assumed the card was defective or incompatible. It turned out that the latter. I replaced the Sonnet with a StarTech adapter card that uses the

    I revived my 2010 MacPro

This PCIe card is more expensive than others. This is because it supports 4 devices at full USB 3.0 bandwidth. I installed it on a 2010 MacPro with a clean install of Sierra and it works fantastic. About 4 years ago I tried other maps. I had problems with Bluetooth interference with an older Sonnet card; As soon as I connected the device, my Bluetooth mouse stopped working. With the card I received from CalDigit, the devices often ran at 2.0 speeds, which defeated the original reason I bought…
